The black carbon fiber in this mens pocket knife pops dramatically against the silver and gold star design of the Kestrel Starship. This high-tech polymer is created when thousands of carbon atom filaments are woven together, forming a super strong material that's used in race car body shell construction.
Each side of the Starship's handle boasts a frame with 24k gold koftgari, an age-old Indian technique that bonds precious metals to a textured base of oxidized steel. The gold star patterns were completely hand crafted in India by a world renowned koftgari master.
The ultra sharp blade is Damascus steel, painstakingly hand forged by master artisan Mike Norris from folded layers of metal alloys. Mike calls his unique rippling design Hornets' Nest, due to its resemblance to the fierce insect's hive.
William Henry sets sleek black spinel stones into the one-hand button lock and thumb stud. Use the stud to open and close the blade. We love the satisfying click heard when the blade locks into position.
If you're a seasoned collector who desires a premium knife for home display or for everyday use in the field, the Kestrel Starship will win you over with its perfect blend of function, history and artistry.
