The hammered sterling silver railroad nail on this unique men's pendant necklace from American designer King Baby conjures up images of rugged work crews building America's railroads in the 1800s. The unstoppable perseverance of those dedicated men created the First Transcontinental Railroad in 1869, which connected our young nation from coast to coast.

The four sides of the nail have a rough-hewn surface that's intentionally designed to look imperfect and dented. The nail's rounded flat head also has the same weathered hand-forged texture. Run your finger down the length of the nail to its sharp, tapered point. You can see and feel every impression in the silver. King Baby's master craftsmen designed this realistic railroad nail to look like it was forged by a 19th-century blacksmith.

The silver is oxidized to give it a dark antique patina. The nail really looks as if it was driven into a track 150 years ago. A tough cord of jet-black genuine leather is knotted around the nail, so you can wear it around your neck to add Industrial Revolution spirit to your style.

The 57 on the nail's head is the birth year of King Baby's founder and badass designer Mitchell Binder. His unstoppable perseverance has made King Baby internationally known, as his innovative men's designs are worn by rock stars, pro athletes and movie stars the world over. Now it's your turn, whether you're an avid train buff or just a dude who loves cool, rugged men's jewelry.

The Railroad Nail men's pendant necklace is part of King Baby's American Craft collection. Handmade in the USA.
