John Hardy delivers a sterling silver and gold men's cross necklace accented with a style known as the Jawan technique - an artisanal practice that requires great care and mastery.
The Jawan technique is an ancient Balinese motif found in the decoration of sacred objects, such as the holy vessel used by priests in temple ceremonies.
To create the Jawan texture of this John Hardy men's cross necklace, tiny round balls of 18k gold are hand-soldered in a unique pattern. The small gold dots shine in contrast against the black oxidized backdrop of the sterling silver cross necklace.
