This legend-based Bico Australia men's necklace pendant depicts Kokopelli, an ancient flute-playing Native American music spirit. Rock paintings of Kokopelli, some over a 1000-years old, can be found throughout the American Southwest. He was truly the world's first rock star.

Kokopelli is shown in profile as he entertains us with a long vertical wind instrument held up to his mouth. His arms and legs are bent as he dances while playing. The sharp angles of his body give the Kokopelli a contemporary, geometric look.

His head boasts a semicircular crown of five triangular feathers, which represent the strength of powerful horned animals like the mighty buffalo. Kokopelli's curved back is said to represent the rainbow seen after his mystical music brings on a downpour during the dry season.

Tribal myths tell us that Kokopelli's music brings happiness and prosperity by turning winter into spring and encouraging new life to be born. Wear this ancient Native American spirit around your neck and spread the healing power of music.
