BENNU PHOENIX DOG TAG Pendant in Rosewood and Gunmetal
$39.00
Product Description:
BENNU DOG TAG Pendant in Rosewood and Gunmetal meaning To Rise, To Ascend. The Bennu dogtag pendant bears a stylish tribal tattoo design inspired by the Bennu bird.
The bennu is the Egyptian interpretation of the mythical phoenix. The Phoenix is a mythological firebird which, upon it's death bursts into flames and from the flames is reborn again as a young phoenix. In Egyptian mythology the bennu was associated with resurrection, creation, renewal, and the Sun. It was believed to be the soul of the Sun-God Ra.
The center design is made from genuine New Guinea Rosewood and is surrounded by gunmetal made from cobalt over a pewter core with an invisible hypoallergenic coating to protect the finish.
Approximate size of the dog tag, including the loop which moves freely from left to right, is 1 7/8 by 1 inches. Tribal Hollywood offers a selection of gunmetal chains and black leather necklaces to go with your pendant.
Select Chain(s) for Your Pendant
How to Choose your Own Chain
The selection of chains listed on this product page represents chains that the TRIBAL Hollywood style editors think are good matches with the pendant pictured to the left. However, you can further personalize your look by choosing any Bico chain on the site to go with your pendant. So feel free to be creative and set your own style trend.
To make your own chain selection, simply leave checked the "No Chain Selected" box and click on the "Add To Cart" button. This will add only the pendant to your shopping cart. Then click on the "Bico Chains & Necklaces" button or link located towards the top of the page underneath the TRIBAL Hollywood logo. This will take you to the full selection of chains available. You can choose any of the chains and add it to your cart.
*A note on Mini pendants: Pendants with the word "Mini" in their name are small and have a smaller loop than regular Bico pendants. If you are buying a Mini pendant, you should only choose one of the recommended chains to ensure that the chain will fit through the smaller loop.
Chain Size Guide
Bico chains and necklaces come in a variety of lengths to give you the fit and look you want. Most come in varying lengths from as short as 15 inches all the way up to 25 inches long. A few are only in one size but are adjustable to different lengths.
Chain lengths indicate the total distance all the way from one end to the other, including the clasp, when opened up straight. The term "Size" on all product pages refers to the chain's length in inches. To find a chain's width, read the product description for that particular chain.
Remember that your pendant will hang below the bottom of the chain.
How to Find the Perfect Length Bico Chain:
First, decide if you want your pendant to rest high, close to you neck, or to hang lower on you chest. Consider if the pendant needs to show underneath an open shirt collar or will hang over a shirt. Some people like to get one shorter chain and one longer chain to accommodate different clothing.
If you already have a chain or necklace that fits the way you want, simply open it up, lay it flat and straight, and measure it from one end to the other.
Alternatively, use a headphone cord or a piece of string, fish line, or floss, and place it around your neck like a necklace. Stand in front of a mirror to find the best length. Hold the desired length on the long end of the cord with your finger and then measure with a ruler from the cord's end to your finger.
Chain Width (Thickness)
Bico chain and necklace styles represent a range of thicknesses (widths) from thin to thick. Each style of Bico chain comes in a single width. You can find a chain's width in the individual chain's product description. Looking at a ruler, or measuring a chain you already own, may help you visualize how thick or thin a chain is.
